No matter your age or treatment, we tailor our approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.

Invisalign®

With Invisalign®, achieving a straighter smile has never been more convenient or discreet. Invisalign’s clear, removable aligners are custom-made to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position, offering a comfortable and nearly invisible alternative to braces. Our experienced team will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring a personalized treatment plan that fits your lifestyle.

Invisalign Mandibular Advancement

Like its traditional metal counterpart (see Herbst section below), this appliance focuses on the growth of the lower jaw while a patient is growing, preferably during their pubertal growth spurt.

Invisalign Expander

A clear alternative to the metal expander, this appliance allows us to create space and width in the upper jaw by changing the trays each week. To ensure optimal results, it does have requirements, otherwise we have our 3D printed expander.

Orthognathic Surgery with Invisalign

Jaw repositioning can have a lot of benefits on your profile, smile, and bite but the latest technology allows us to do the tooth movement portion of this treatment with Invisalign instead of braces!

Braces

Traditional metal braces offer a reliable and effective solution for correcting a wide range of orthodontic issues. With advanced materials and techniques, today’s braces are more comfortable and efficient than ever.

Ceramic braces offer a discreet alternative to traditional metal braces. Made from clear or tooth-colored materials, these braces blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, providing an effective and aesthetically pleasing treatment option.

Orthodontic Appliances

At our practice, we offer Herbst appliances to effectively address jaw alignment issues. This device gently guides the lower jaw forward, allowing for proper bite alignment and improved facial structure.

Expanders address and correct dental arch issues, creating more space for teeth alignment. This appliance gently widens the upper jaw over time, improving alignment, breathing, and oral function. We are proud to offer custom 3D printed expanders at Katie Pizzo Orthodontics!

We offer this appliance to help with bite correction for teens and adults, with tooth specific concerns. This device uses rubber bands to move teeth in the front-to-back dimension to create a more ideal occlusion.

Botox

We are pleased to offer Botox to address various dental concerns, such as reducing a gummy smile. Additionally, it can enhance the aesthetics of your smile by minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth. Dr. Katie is trained to administer Botox safely and effectively, ensuring optimal results.

Zoom Teeth Whitening

Experience the transformative power of a brighter smile with our Zoom in-office whitening treatment! In just one appointment, you can achieve a dramatically whiter smile—often up to several shades brighter—using a safe and effective process that combines a specially formulated whitening gel with a unique light.

Retainers

At Katie Pizzo Orthodontics, we understand the importance of maintaining your beautifully aligned smile. That’s why we offer a range of retainer options to suit your needs. Retainers are essential for preserving the results of your treatment by keeping your teeth in their new, corrected position. Each treatment plan fee includes the first set of retainers. Our customized retainers are designed for comfort and durability, ensuring that you can wear them consistently without hassle.

Technology

At our practice, we use an iTero scanner to create precise digital impressions of your teeth, eliminating the need for traditional molds. This state-of-the-art technology ensures a more comfortable experience and provides highly accurate treatment planning. Click here to learn more!

Our ultra low dose digital X-ray technology captures high-resolution, 3-dimensional photos of your teeth and jaws. These 3D images provide detailed insights into your oral health, allowing for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

With our outcome simulator software you can visualize the potential of your new smile before you start treatment. It utilizes 3D imaging to showcase how your teeth may move over the course of treatment and give you a sneak peak into what your smile could be.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need orthodontic treatment?

Orthodontic treatment may be necessary if you have misaligned teeth, overcrowding, spacing between teeth, overbites, underbites, or jaw pain or discomfort.

Will I need to wear a retainer after treatment?

Yes, wearing a retainer is necessary to maintain the results of your orthodontic treatment. Consistent retainer wear is crucial for preventing your teeth from shifting back to their original positions.

Can adults benefit from orthodontic treatment?

Absolutely! Adults can benefit significantly from orthodontic treatment, whether you're looking to improve the alignment of your teeth, correct bite issues, enhance the aesthetics of your smile, or set an ideal foundation for crowns, veneers, or implants.

How often will I need to visit the orthodontist during treatment?

That depends on your treatment plan and patient compliance. Traditionally patients visit the orthodontist every 4-8 weeks, which may be a necessity for some patients. For our aligner patients, where possible, we are proud to offer virtual monitoring, which allows us to manage and track your progress without as many office visits - which means less missed work & school for you & your kids.

Are all orthodontists Board Certified?

No, not all orthodontists are board certified. While all orthodontists must complete dental school and an accredited orthodontic residency program to practice, board certification is an additional step that some orthodontists choose to pursue. Approximately only 30% of orthodontists nationwide have chosen to complete this additional step towards excellence. Dr. Katie is proud to be one of those orthodontists!

Why would an orthodontist choose to complete this voluntary certification process?

Being board certified indicates that an orthodontist has gone above and beyond the education and training required to practice orthodontics. Dr. Katie strives to do anything possible to create the best outcomes for her patients and decided to pursue board certification to challenge her mind and improve her clinical skills in order to become the best orthodontist she can be.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral. You are welcome to call anytime to schedule an appointment!
